Chaumet, the historical French Jeweler based in Place Vendome Paris, has a history entwined with the history of France, eversince its founding in 1780. Maison Chaumet soon became the official jeweller to Empress Josephine, who married Napoleon Bonaparte, the Emperor of the French, in 1796. The know-how of the high-end jewellery of Maison Chaumet has been faithfully passed down several generations of jewellers for almost 240 years. Empress Josephine has inspired Chaumet’s graceful creations for over two centuries.

In keeping with its tradition of creating innovative designs Chaumet recently stole the spotlight by unveiling a new exclusive diamond cut, known as the “Taille Imperatrice” in French, meaning the “Empress Cut” in English. The name selected for the cut, pays tribute to Empress Joséphine, Chaumet’s first major distinguished client, who was passionate about nature and botany, and inspired most of Chaumet’s precious naturalistic creations.
The “Taille Impératrice” is the only diamond-cut that combines a hexagonal shape, with 88 facets and a star-shaped pavilion, and possesses an exceptional lustre and brilliance, which is superior to the diamond market’s universal reference, the 58-facet Round Brilliant-Cut.
The 88 facets of the Taille Impératrice diamonds, individually cut by hand, have been designed to capture more rays of light, that reflect back with greater intensity through the table. Hence, when set on a solitaire ring, a choker or even earrings the Taille Impératrice diamonds always show an exceptional radiance.
The hexagonal-cut Taille Impératrice diamond, with 88 facets brings out the exceptional brilliance and fire in these diamonds, and Chaumet has incorporated these diamonds to light up their new radiant “Bee My Love” creations, which includes Bee My Love Solitaire, Bee My Love Stud Earrings, Bee My Love Necklace, Bee My Love Pendant Earrings, Bee My Love Pendants, Bee My Love Bracelets etc.
