Diamonds international has launched its sixth outlet at the recently refurbished Departures Lounge at the Malta International Airport.
Its flagship store was launched at Portomaso only six months ago.
According to Karl Micallef, Director of Diamonds International “the store was designed by a team of Italian designers.The decor of the store is similar to our flagship store at Portomaso.
The new outlet at the MIA also offers the same selection of fine brands of jewellery and watches by Mont Blanc, Cartier, Omega, Mikimoto, Damiani etc.
Mr Micallef also noted that the company’s main focus until 2008 was developing the local market. The next step is to target the rapidly growing tourism industry, which is the main reason for launching the MIA retail outlet.
The target audience of Diamonds International is still the local market. In fact many Maltese passengers pass through the Departures at the Malta International Airport (MIA).
Diamonds International is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary while Damiani, one of the groups iconic brands is about to celebrate its 85th anniversary.
To celebrate its 10th year anniversary Diamonds International will host a 10 day extravaganza at the groups outlet at Portomaso. The outlet will be transformed into a Damiani boutique. Silvia Damiani the vice-president of the Damiani group is also expected to attend the event.
