SARINE RELEASES ADVANCED VERSION OF ADVISOR ROUGH PLANNING SOFTWARE THAT CAN REVOLUTIONIZE DIAMOND ROUGH PLANNING

Sarine Technologies Ltd, the Israeli-based company, established in 1988, the worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of advanced, cutting edge, state-of-the-art evaluation, planning, cutting, shaping, polishing and grading systems for diamond and gemstone production, announced on June 19, 2017 the release of its latest version of AdvisorTM the world’s most widely used rough planning software, which for nearly two decades has led the diamond industry as the most advanced, accurate, cost-beneficial and easy-to-use computerized rough diamond planning system, used by the vast majority of diamond manufacturers worldwide. The new version known as “AdvisorTM 7.0,” includes several new features that further revolutionize rough planning, helping diamond manufacturers to further streamline the planning process and optimize the polished yield.

Among the top five new features incorporated in the AdvisorTM 7.0 are 1) CAP, Centralized Automated Planning 2) Customized pricing 3) Photo Realistic simulation 4) Stone Manager and 5) Tension Scanning.

Centralized Automated Planning (CAP) is a Auto Planner feature which for the first time, not only facilitates fully automated rough planning but also enables the user to define advanced planning programs based on a wide range of parameters, such as shapes, proportions, cut grades, lab specifications and many more. The programs are then set to run in the background, and can be executed at any time immediately after Galaxy™ scanning. CAP maximizes the number of plan options, providing hundreds and sometimes even thousands of planning options, before the stone reaches the planners. The availability of many planning solutions so early in the manufacturing stage enables manufacturers to sort and filter the solutions according to market demand, thereby reducing time to market.

Another advanced feature in the AdvisorTM 7.0 is Customized Pricing that enables the Integration of the manufacturer’s pricing list directly into Advisor program for instant automated diamond pricing.

Another advanced key feature in the AdvisorTM 7.0 is Photo Realistic Simulation, enabled by the provision of a completely innovative dual viewer, which enables the planner to view a simulation of the planned stone using various common tools, such as Sarine LightTM, Hearts and Arrows and Photo Real. The planner can evaluate on a per facet basis, how the stone’s light performance will differ with each tweak of the cutting and polishing plan, enabling the polisher to meet today’s more stringent demands by retailers for higher quality stones, where the criteria go beyond the traditional 4C’s, viz. Light Performance which involves the parameters of brilliance, sparkle, fire and symmetry.

The Stone Manager consisting of a new and improved version of the “open stone” dialog has advanced features that will facilitate the exploration of the rough stones.

Tension Scanning – AdvisorTM 7.0 provides, in conjunction with an upgrade to the DiaExpertTM platforms, a graphic video viewer, which highlights areas of internal stress in the rough diamond, early in the planning stage, even before the stone reaches the laser department. This allows the planner to make better and more-informed decisions early on in the planning process, so as to avoid potential pitfalls during the laser sawing process, which would endanger the stone’s integrity.

AdvisorTM 7.0 has many other new features, which streamline the planning process giving a new planning package, that increases yield, reduces risk and cuts manufacturing time.

David Block, CEO of Sarine, stated that “The use of forward thinking, technology-based tools is the future of the global diamond industry. AdvisorTM 7.0 includes new standard setting features that yet again transform the rough planning process, by enabling full automation and improved efficiency, higher levels of yield optimization, and reduced risk and costs. AdvisorTM 7.0 is another manifestation of Sarine Technologies’ commitment to advance the diamond manufacturing industry via state-of-the-art technology.”
